THE RUBYS ANNOUNCE SPLIT
It is with great regret and sadness that we announce the end of The Rubys. It’s been a fantastic five year journey and we’ve accomplished a lot in that time as an unsigned band, but we believe it has finally run its course.
Our gig at Blackthorn Festival on Saturday 25th July will be our only and last outing now. Our new album, “The Book of Sorrows”, released on May 8th, will be our last recording. There will be no single releases from the album, and the album launch on the 8th May in Davyhulme has now been cancelled.
We’ve enjoyed great support from friends, family, and followers throughout. It’s been both amazing and humbling to have had the sustained degree of support that we’ve enjoyed for the past five years. To you, we apologise for being unable to carry on, but offer our sincerest and most genuine thanks and gratitude for your remarkable support. You’ve always been there for us and we are proud that we touched many of your lives through our body of work!
We end on good terms. We’ve been great mates before The Rubys and we’ll be great mates afterwards. We all have plans to do other things and we hope you’ll still drop by our Facebook page to learn what everyone will be up to in the future.
We hope you’ll join us at Blackthorn on July 25 to say goodbye to The Rubys where we promise to deliver one final performance for you.
It’s been fun. It’s been a rollercoaster. It’s been demanding. It’s been tough. It’s had its highs. It’s had its lows. But it’s been a blast. Thanks again for listening and supporting, and please do stay in touch.
